Key Responsibilities
- Fill petrol and diesel in vehicles as per the customer’s request
- Reset the meter to zero before every fill and show it to the customer
- Collect cash, UPI, or card payments and return the correct change
- Guide vehicles to the free pump so the queue keeps moving
- Keep the nozzle, hose, and pump area clean throughout the shift
- Wipe up fuel spills at once and keep the forecourt free of litter
- Report meter faults, leaks, or damaged nozzles to the supervisor immediately
- Follow no-smoking and fire-safety rules strictly at the pump
- Assist customers with air filling and answer basic queries politely
- Help the team when the fuel tanker arrives for unloading
- Note pump readings at the start and end of every shift
- Hand over the day’s sales cash and readings to the shift in-charge
